Central York Girls Hockey Association

An amazing weekend for our U18BB Panthers taking home Silver in Lake Placid Tournament. Going undefeated in the Round-Robin. Girls came to play in the Final game, but came up a little short losing 2-1. Great effort all around.

Our Panthers gave it everything they had on the ice, coming up just short in a thrilling 1-2 overtime battle. While the final score wasn’t what we were hoping for, the heart, hustle, and teamwork on display were nothing short of incredible. They left it all out there, pushing to the very end and lifting each other up every step of the way. We couldn’t be prouder of their effort and determination!

What a weekend for the U11A Panthers! Six games in three days, capped off with a thrilling shootout in the Starsfest Championship. Hustle, heart, and teamwork earned this group a well-deserved Silver!

The U18B Panthers roared their way to a Silver Medal finish at the Markham-Stouffville Starsfest! In a division of 16 teams, the girls played 7 games in 54 hours, battled hard and created lasting memories. Hat tricks, shutouts, high fives and an incredible OT winner…these Panthers are curating their new identity. Congratulations to the athletes and families on an amazing start to the season!. Special mention is deserving for the strong Kincardine Kincuks for taking the gold in an exciting and very well played final.

The U15B team are silver medallists at the 13th Annual SMGHA Starsfest,  This group of girls battled hard all weekend with a 5 game undefeated round robin and making it to the finals to take home a silver medal, not bad for a preseason tournament, we all look forward to seeing what the season brings! Best of luck! 

The Central York Panthers would like to congratulate our graduating 2024-25 Jr Panther Clara Liu on her commitment to York University and playing women’s hockey for the USports OUA York University Lions. Clara is a great example to all Panthers that if you work hard enough you can realize your dreams. We are so proud of you Clara!
